Scientific conference dedicated to Romanian Language Day held at Chisinau-based library

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - A scientific conference, Light of the Romanian Language, dedicated to the Romanian Language Day, took place at the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library from Chisinau today.
In her speech titled, The wings of the Romanian language in the national revival reflected in poetry, a university lecturer, poet, literary critic Victoria Fonari turned to account the importance of the changes which had taken place in 1989: highlighting the Latin origin of the language; providing the official status and speaking out for a literary Romanian language in all spheres. She analyzed poems by great poets of Moldova, Grigore Vieru, Nicolae Dabija, Leonida Lari.
On the same day, a musical show titled, Independence, Romanian language, national dignity, was held at the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library. This is an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Moldova’s Independence.
