Presidents of Moldova, Latvia discuss bilateral relations' agenda

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu discussed the agenda of the bilateral relations between Moldova and Latvia with Latvian president Egils Levits in Kiev today, the presidential press service has reported.
„We agreed on enhancing the economic, social contacts and educational exchanges between our countries and strengthen the political cooperation and of the law-enforcement bodies,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
The head of state thanked President Levits for Latvia’s support for the democratic transformations in Moldova, for the backing provided within the European platforms, as well as for the donation of anti-Covid-19 vaccine provided to Moldova. ‘’We discussed also the opportunity of recognition in Latvia of the anti-Covid-19 vaccination certificates issued in Moldova,’’ the Moldovan president noted.
In the end of the meeting, President Maia Sandu invited President of Latvia Egils Levits to visit Moldova on the next period.
