Moldovan president says new governance of Moldova set to continue country's democratic transformation

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu discussed with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven in Kiev today, the presidential pres service has reported.
The discussions were focused on the state of the bilateral relations, way of strengthening the contacts between the states, as well as the social, economic and cultural relations between the countries and citizens of the two states.
At the same time, the head of state expressed gratitude to the Swedish PM for the quite generous financial and development support provided by Sweden to Moldova during years, especially for improving the business environment, local development, consolidating the democratic institutions and defending the rights of the disadvantaged groups.
„I gave assurances to the Swedish prime minister that the new Moldovan governance was set to continue the democratic transformation of Moldova, to strengthen the state’s institutions and carry out a true reform of the justice, which will provide a friendly ground for developing businesses and investments and enhancing the prosperity of our citizens,’’ President Maia Sandu said at the end of the meeting.
