Moldovan border policemen to work according to enhanced schedule on period of mini-holiday

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ - The border policemen will work according to an enhanced working schedule on the period of the mini-holiday occasioned by the national holidays on 27-31 August. All actions and measures undertaken are meant to ease the cross-border traffic, with avoiding queues at border crossing points (PTF), as well as maintaining order and peace at the state border.    

The Border Police will ensure at all PTF: the 24 hours monitoring of the flow of passengers and transport means, so that the most viable solutions of easing the traffic are applied at any change of traffic values; supplying the number of employees, with the wide enforcement of the special control technology; use of the PTFs’ infrastructure at full capacity.

Also, the Border Police will enhance the cooperation with the Customs Service’s employees, with the implementation, by common contest, if needed, of the Revers procedure, with the full observance of the principle One – Stop- Shop; will facilitate the movement through PTF of certain categories of passengers: families with children up to three years of age and people vaccinated against Covid; will compulsorily make the thermometry of passengers and separation from the flow of the people documented for the infringement of the regime of self-isolation in Moldova.  

“In the state border zone, filters are envisaged to be established on roads of access to/from the border; increasing the number of mobile teams on risk segments; maintaining the capacities of intervention of the subordinated forces and means for the quick reaction in unforeseen situations; boosting the cooperation with representatives of the local public administration, in order to facilitate the access for the local residents, as well as for visitors, to the banks of the Prut and Dniester rivers,’’ reads a press release of the institution.   

The public sector employees of Moldova will have a mini-holiday at the end of this month, on 27-31 August, when the country will mark the Independence Day (27 August) and Our Romanian Language (31 August).
