Government decides on Moldovan-Lithuanian agreement on conversion of driver's licences

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet members today ruled to approve the signing of the agreement between the governments of Moldova and Lithuania on the conversion of driver’s licences.

Under the government decision, the signing of the agreement between the two countries on the conversion of driver’s licences is approved.

The goal of this document is to facilitate and improve the security of the road traffic. Under the document, the signatory sides of the agreement will mutually recognize the non-provisional and valid driver’s licences on the purpose of conversion.

“The Interior Ministry, jointly with the Public Services Agency Public Institution, will undertake the concerned measures for the carrying out of the provisions of the aforementioned Agreement,’’ the document reads.

The present decision enters into force on the date of its publication in Moldova’s Official Journal.
