Moldovan cabinet approves draft code of railway transport

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - The government voted for the approval of the code of railway transport at a meeting today. The code will be submitted to parliament for consideration.

Under the document, the present code establishes: the legal framework on the conditions of management of the railway infrastructure and organizing the activities of railway transport; conditions of registration and certification of the railway enterprises from Moldova; requirements for the employees in the railway transport sector; legal relations between the subjects involved in the railway transport of passengers, luggage and goods in Moldova.

“The provisions of the present code are applied to: the use of the railway infrastructure for railway transport services; railway transport services; national railway system; the railway rolling stock; services related to the railway transport,’’ the draft reads.
