Meeting on discussing with Diaspora takes place at Moldovan parliament

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - An event titled, Discussing with Diaspora, took place at the parliament’s headquarters today. The parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.   

The meeting is part of a string of events which give possibility to unveil the Diaspora’s problems and identify the most efficient ways of their settlement.  

Attending the event were more representatives of the Diaspora, who returned to Moldova to see their relatives and dear places, after a long period of movement restrictions.

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu welcomed the participants in the meeting

The speaker said that the parliamentary majority had an important mission – the one to make the state’s institutions functional.

Grosu informed that, at the parliament’s extraordinary session, which ended on 24 August, more draft had been approved out of the package of laws for the reformation of justice and combating corruption and which regard the commitments dealing with the unlocking of the foreign assistance.  

Participants in the discussions tackled subjects on the concerns and expectations of the Moldovans living abroad. Among the, there are the consular services, international passenger transport, social package, the sectors in which Moldovans can make investments when ruling to return home.

The participants in event make more proposals for solving the problems from the Diaspora. In particular, they stressed the need for the competent institutions to work out a national programme which would facilitate the reintegration of the Moldovans who returned home.
