South Moldova town to benefit from modernized aqueduct

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - The modernization of the system of treatment of residual waters and sewerage from the southern Cantemir town has been completed and is under testing.

The Cantemir residents will benefit from qualitative water and sewerage supply services, which are fundamental for the public health and a clean environment in the region.

„The Apa Canal water system from Cantemir has been recently endowed with new equipment, in order to operate in conditions of safety and sustainability. The new backhoe was purchased within the DevRAM project, worth 8.7 million euros, financed jointly by the European Union and the Austrian Development Agency. The project’s goal is to create a safe system of evacuation of residual waters for the Cantemir residents and develop a modern public infrastructure,’’ reads a press release by the EU Delegation in Moldova.
