As many as 497 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,311 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 497 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 408 among non-vaccinated people. Nineteen out of these cases are import ones. As many as 266,314 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), seven out of the new cases are among medical employees (one physician, six medical assistants).

As many as 904 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 43 are in extremely serious condition and two patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,285 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,285 are under supervision at home.

Another 292 people have been treated. As many as 256,283 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another four deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,384 people have died of coronavirus in all.
