As many as 204 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,218 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 204 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 186 among non-vaccinated people. Four out of these cases are import ones. As many as 266,988 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), none of the new cases recorded is among medical employees.

As many as 597 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 85 are in extremely serious condition and 12 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,422 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 18,667 are under supervision at home.

Another 232 people have been treated. As many as 257,114 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another four deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,394 people have died of coronavirus in all.
