As many as 216 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,276 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 216 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 189 among non-vaccinated people. Seven out of these cases are import ones. As many as 267,204 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), none of the new cases recorded is among medical employees.

As many as 1,124 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 118 are in extremely serious condition and 13 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,427 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 18,546 are under supervision at home.

Another 142 people have been treated. As many as 257,256 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another three deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,397 people have died of coronavirus in all.
