Chisinau, 31 August /MOLDPRES/ - The 31st issue of Moldova’s Saloons was inaugurated at the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Centre from Chisinau, on the day when the Romanian Language is marked in Moldova and Romania.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the Moldovan Fine Artists’ Union (UAP), Dumitru Bolboceanu, said that the exhibition and contest, Moldova’s Saloons, was one of the most long-living and symbolical artistic events coming from the cooperation between Moldova and Romania.
”Traditionally, the exhibition is staged in Chisinau and Bacau; yet, in the last three decades, it has been bringing together artists from all over Moldova and from the entire territory of Romania,’’ the UAP head said.
According to Bolboceanu, the exhibition is organized in partnership with the Culture Ministry, Iulian Antonescu Museum Complex from Bacau, Romania, and the Fine Artists’ Union from Moldova. The jury, led by fine artist, UAP titular member Andrei Negura, selected the works of 190 artists.
