Children's Book Bridge between Romania, Moldova organized on Romanian Language Day

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- The OvidiuRo Association and the National Library for Children Ion Creanga celebrated yesterday the Day of the Romanian Language and Our Language through a symbolic bridge of books for children, along with kindergartens in Romania and territorial public libraries in the Republic of Moldova.
Eugenia Bejan, director of the National Library for Children Ion Creanga said that in the first part of the day, there were two reading workshops for children at Kindergarten in Victoria, Iasi County and the Public Library in Sculeni, Ungheni district. The workshops were attended by guests and representatives of partners from both countries.
On the same day, the official launch of the event and a workshop for teachers and librarians took place online.
The OvidiuRo Association and the Ion Creangă National Library for Children in Chisinau have been collaborating since 2017 to encourage reading in the family and in the community, even from the first years of life. In previous years, joint workshops were organized for teachers and librarians in both countries, activities that built the foundation and pillars of the children's book bridge this year.
