Some premises in HORECA sector likely to be declared COVID free, to be able to operate at full capacity

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- Employees working in the HORECA and trade sector will be required to provide at least one confirmatory document against COVID-19 attesting to vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the negative result of an RT-PCR test not older than 72 hours, or the certified negative result of an antigen test no more than 48 hours.
Also, the administrator of the public catering unit will decide on the declaration of the place “COVID free”, the visitors will present an act regarding the immunization, the presence of antibodies, a negative test to COVID-19, otherwise the places will activate at a reduced capacity.
Those measures target catering establishments with a service room; private events organized in public catering establishments; employees involved in the provision of commercial services, salespeople and staff working in commercial areas; outdoor trade units; retail or wholesale commercial units with a closed commercial area and recreational areas.
Minister of Economy Sergiu Gaibu convened today a meeting with representatives of the business environment, particularly from the trade and public food units. The official noted that the high vaccination rate of some occupational categories has already shown a positive impact, with a low degree of illness with serious consequences. For employees involved in public relations, a maximum vaccination rate must be ensured for the safe working process, while mentioning the importance of complying with the protection measures against COVID-19.
In this context, the minister said that the new measures proposed by the Ministry of Economy aim to avoid a possible lockdown, the key objective being to avoid the crowding of customers of economic agents providing services to the general public.
Sergiu Gaibu came up with some recommendations regarding the extension of the activity program of the economic agents, where it is possible, if it would lead to the fluidization of the clients and would lead to the avoidance of the congestions in the closed spaces. He proposed to set possibility of distribution and marketing of means of protection at the entrance to markets and shopping centers.
Representatives of the business environment came up with some proposals for the authorities, the most relevant being the identification of a contact person within CNESP who would respond in close terms regarding the notifications and ambiguities of the economic agents regarding the established measures, the evaluation of the possibility to support business environment in case of application of restrictive measures with major impact on economic agents.
