Moldovan parliament speaker has meeting with president of Romanian Chamber of Deputies

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, on an official visit to Bucharest, today met President of the Romania’s Chamber of Deputies (lower chamber of the Romanian parliament) Ludovic Orban, the parliament’s communication and public relations general department has reported.
The officials exchanged opinions on the development of the bilateral dialogue and the importance of strengthening the inter-parliamentary cooperation. Igor Grosu thanked Romania, as EU member, and Ludovic Orban personally for the programme on technical and financial assistance, provided by the Bucharest authorities to Moldova.
”I thanked Mr. Orban for involvement and the support provided during time. This friendship relation between our states generates concrete benefits for the citizens and helps us further fight for a better future. We agreed on reanimating the relations at the inter-parliamentary level in more sectors and a first proof represents the meetings of my colleagues with the leadership of the counterpart parliamentary commissions from the Chamber of Deputies. I am sure that, during our mandate, the relations between the two fundamental institutions will achieve the highest degree of cooperation since the proclamation of the Independence so far,’’ Igor Grosu said.
President of the Chamber of deputies Ludovic Orban reiterated the Romanian state’s willingness to back Moldova on all dimensions.
