Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Mihail Kogalniceanu National Literature Museum (MNLMK), on the occasion of the Romanian Language Day National Holiday, on 31 August inaugurated a street exhibition about writers and great scholars who contributed, through writing and civic attitude, to the safeguarding and promotion of the Romanian language in Bessarabia.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, MNLMK director Maria Sleahtitchi said that the exhibition evoked the names of several personalities out of a large number of writers and great scholars who during time contributed to the safeguarding and promotion of the Romanian language in Bessarabia.
According to Sleahtitchi, the exhibition comprises nine banners and is a homage paid to our forerunners.
The exhibition’s launch was followed by a marathon of reading and poetry dedicated to the Romanian Language, which will be showed in the event’s film (prepared on the YouTube channel of the institution).
The exhibition will be opened till 1 December 2021.
