Moldovan parliament speaker says parliament commits to implement entire agenda of reforms for country's sustainable development

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today had a meeting with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, during his visit to Bucharest.
According parliament’s communication and public relations general department, Igor Grosu thanked the Romanian head of state for the constant assistance provided with much generosity for Moldova’s citizens.
”I referred, in particular, to the assistance provided during the pandemic – large consignments of equipment, tests, materials and medicines necessary for Moldova’s citizens in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic; those over 500,000 doses of vaccine donated by the Bucharest government, those 6,000 tons of diesel, meant to help our farmers hit by the drought,’’ the speaker said.
Grosu reiterated that the new parliament committed to implement the entire agenda of reforms needed for Moldova’s sustainable development and the priorities are: management of the pandemic crisis, improvement of the economic consequences and the reform in the justice sector.
”I was glad to hear that Romania will be by our side in the carrying out of the European integration. Only by joint efforts, we will manage to do nice things for or citizens,’’ Igor Grosu added.
Igor Grosu is on official visit to Bucharest, the first one in his capacity of parliament speaker, at an invitation by President of the Romanian Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies Ludovic Orban. Another ten MPs are members of the Moldovan parliament’s delegation.
