As many as 579 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 4,877 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 579 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 512 among non-vaccinated people. Nine out of these cases are import ones. As many as 268,105 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.  

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), eight out of all cases of infection are among medical employees (three physicians, four medical assistants, one representative of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,143 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 115 are in extremely serious condition and 12 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.  

In the context, 2,386 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,139 are under supervision at home.

Another 238 people have been treated. As many as 257,672 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another five deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,406 people have died of coronavirus in all.
