Over 11,000 people called ambulance in late August

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- On August 27-31, a number of 11,353 patients called ambulance. Following the first aid, 4,401 patients, including 1,016 children, were taken to hospital.
According to the National Center for Prehospital Emergency Medical Care, most requests were caused by respiratory emergencies - 2,336, followed by cardiovascular - 1,875, including 29 patients with acute coronary syndrome and neurological emergencies - 1,438, of which 131 strokes.
With various traumas, 1,111 citizens benefited from first aid at the pre-hospital stage. The ambulance doctors were called in case of 49 road accidents, as a result of which 62 people suffered, among which ten minors.
During the same period, 27 requests were registered due to toxic emergencies. AMU teams provided first aid to 12 people who were intoxicated with drugs and 6 people who suffered from alcohol intoxication.
