Eight Moldovans hospitalized in Romania in wake of traffic accident

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/ - A traffic accident with the involvement of a mini-bus occurred nearby the settlement Andreneasa, Mures County, Romania, today at noon. Thirteen people suffered in the wake of the accident, of whom eight were hospitalized.
The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry, through Moldova’s Embassy in Bucharest, took note about the taking place of the accident and will monitor the situation.
According to information in Romania mass media, there were nine persons in the mini-bus, of whom eight were carried to hospital for medical care and one person refused hospitalization.
A SMURD (Emergency Mobile Service for Resuscitation and Extrication) helicopter was sent on the spot and took over one of the victims. A touring car involved in the accident was driven by a 36-year-old woman from Targu-Mures and the mini-bus – by a 57-year-old man from the Iasi county. According to the Romanian media, both drivers were tested for the content of alcohol in blood and the tests were negative.
The case was submitted to decision-makers of the Interior Ministry’s General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) for monitoring.
