As many as 710 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 3 September /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 5,596 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 710 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 612 among non-vaccinated people. Seventeen out of these cases are import ones. As many as 269,602 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.  

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), seven out of all cases of infection are among medical employees (three physicians, two medical assistants and two representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,160 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 165 are in extremely serious condition and 21 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation. 

In the context, 2,596 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,037 are under supervision at home.

Another 426 people have been treated. As many as 257,410 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another eight deaths triggered by COVID-19, among whom a 13-year-old child and 6,419 people have died of coronavirus in all.
