Moldova's foreign exchange reserves rose by more than 200 million dollars last month

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/- In late August, the official reserve assets of the Republic of Moldova amounted to USD 3,976.11 million, 212.61 million more than in July.
According to the BNM, the increase in official reserve assets was mainly due to the registration of funds in the form of special drawing rights (SDRs) allocated by the IMF to finance the needs of the state budget - USD 234.48 million; net inflows into the foreign currency required reserves of licensed banks - $ 26.40 million and the registration of loans and grants in favor of the Ministry of Finance for investment projects - $ 1.95 million.
This year the official reserve assets of the Republic of Moldova increased by 23.7%.
