Over 3,000 cases of COVID-19 registered in Moldova last week

Chisinau, 7 September /MOLDPRES/- On 30 August - 5 September 3,231 cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country, of which 84% among unvaccinated persons. The number of cases increased by 26.4% and 30.2% among children.
According to the Ministry of Health, most patients developed mild and asymptomatic forms (80.1%), followed by patients with moderate forms (13.4%) and severe forms (6.5%). The number of people treated was 2,047, an increase of 11.6% compared to the previous week.
The most affected administrative territories, where a red code institute has already been set up are Leova, Cahul, Comrat, Chisinau, Vulcanesti, Edinet, Balti, Cimislia, Cantemir, Basarabeasca, Nisporeni, Briceni, Ialoveni, Sangerei, Causeni, Telenesti, Straseni, Falesti, Hâncești, Glodeni, Anenii Noi.
According to quoted sources, since the start of the Immunization Campaign against COVID-19, 1,306,726 doses of vaccine have been administered. The national coverage with a dose is 21.96%.
