Priorities on reintegration announced within public consultations

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/- The Office for Reintegration Policy held online consultations on Chapter XXI on Monday. The country's reintegration of the draft Action Plan of the Moldovan government for 2021-2022.
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Vlad Kulminski pointed out priorities that will underpin a complex process of Transnistrian settlement, including:
- exclusion of personal interests and promotion of coherent interinstitutional policies based on the national interest;
- preventing and combating illegal activities;
- synchronization of approaches and policies for the country's reintegration, inter-institutional collaboration between the authorities involved in the Transnistrian settlement process (customs, tax, MAI, IGPF, Ministry of Economy);
- updating the national legislative and normative framework at the level of Parliament and Government;
- re-establishing the activity of the parliamentary consultation platform on Transnistrian issues in order to coordinate policies and approaches covering various aspects of the Transnistrian issue, provide political support and a clear mandate for negotiations;
- promoting sustainable development projects on both banks of the Dniester and programs to increase the attractiveness of the Republic of Moldova for the inhabitants of the left bank;
- initiating political negotiations in the 5 + 2 format based on a clear and coordinated vision at national level, with the parallel discussion of the topics from all 3 baskets on the agenda (socio-economic, humanitarian, political-institutional);
- maintaining negotiations in all existing dialogue formats;
- implementation of cooperation instruments with international partners, etc.
In the context, the representatives of the Office for Reintegration Policy noted that in order to achieve the desideratum of reintegration of the country it is necessary that all authorities, including civil society, be actively involved in developing and implementing concrete action plans in different fields, put into practice, ensure stability, socio-economic development and contribute to the construction of a modern, democratic, prosperous and attractive state for the inhabitants on both banks of the Dniester.
The proposals and recommendations collected from the audience are to be systematized in the final draft of the chapter dedicated to the country's reintegration objective and incorporated in the final draft of the Government Action Plan.
