Moldova, Slovenia to boost interparliamentary cooperation

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu met today Lea Stančič, Ambassador of Slovenia to Moldova, residing in Bucharest, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
Igor Grosu thanked for the constant support offered to our country, especially in the process of implementing the ambitious reform agenda.
"We express our desire to promote bilateral political dialogue at all levels, including the intensification of interparliamentary cooperation. We are determined in the process of implementing the reform agenda to build strong and functional institutions that provide quality services for all citizens ", said Igor Grosu.
The speaker also referred to the need to create a climate conducive to investment and economic development. In this regard, justice reform and the fight against corruption remain a priority.
Officials opted to strengthen EU relations with the Eastern Partnership (EAP) states in the context of Slovenia's rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2021.
The diplomat wished success to the speaker and assured that Moldova will benefit from all the necessary support from Slovenia, including sharing its own experience in implementing important reforms for the citizens of our country.
