All public services to be included in single state register

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/- The public services provided by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova will be registered in an information system, which will be administered in a transparent manner and with maximum convenience for the beneficiaries - citizens and the business environment. In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers today approved the decision on the establishment of the Information System "State Register of Public Services", the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Deputy Prime Minister for Digitization Iurie Țurcanu said that the State Register of Public Services will include all public services provided by specialized central public administration authorities, with the possibility of including public services provided by local public administration authorities. The new system will also allow for the efficiency and improvement of the public service delivery process, as well as the establishment of an information base for the development of the single government portal of public services.
The document approved by the Government contains the Concept and Regulation of the Register which describes the main functional, organizational and technological aspects applied to the development and implementation of the technical solution, as well as the Methodology on the elaboration of the Regulation on the organization and provision of public service.
The establishment of the Information System "State Register of Public Services" aims to achieve the international commitments of the Republic of Moldova, assumed by the international treaties signed in order to achieve the project of modernization of public services.
For the first year of creation of the State Register of Public Services, funds will be allocated from the Modernization of Government Services Project, implemented by the Electronic Government Agency with the support of the World Bank Group, the cost being estimated at approximately 1.8 million lei. The annual costs for the administration of the Register are estimated at about 300 thousand lei, which will be allocated from the state budget through the centralized financing of the Electronic Government Agency.
