Soros Foundation Moldova supports training of medical staff in fight against pandemics

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRE/- Doctors and students from the Republic of Moldova will benefit from a new training course, conducted by the Nicolae Testemitanu University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF), with the support of the Soros Foundation Moldova.
The course is based on specialized study programs developed by the team of experts, coordinated by the head of the Epidemiology Discipline at USMF, Angela Paraschiv. These have already been approved by the responsible structures of the medical university.
The team members also developed the teaching materials needed to teach the course, depending on the topic included in the course as well as the target group: students, residents or medical practitioners. Simulation problems have also been developed, which are used in the training of residents and practitioners in the field of determining public health emergencies and the actions needed to be taken.
Since the beginning of this year, 442 students from the Faculty of General Medicine, 368 resident doctors and 15 family doctors from the University Clinic have been trained in the project supported by the Soros Foundation Moldova.
