Visits to National Army units restricted

Chisinau, 10 Septembe /MOLDPRES/- Today, Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii ordered the increase of the measures to reduce the risks of spreading the SARS-CoV-2 virus among the employees of the National Army. Thus, visits to the units of the National Army, holidays for the military on time and carrying out of mass activities, festive events were restricted.
The decision was made based on yesterday's decision of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, as well as following the significant increase in the number of COVID-19 infected.
At the same time, the heads of subdivisions and institutions, as well as unit commanders, will hold repeated staff and contract information sessions on the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the aggressiveness of new strains.
At the same time, Anatolie Nosatîi demanded the strict observance of the safety measures against COVID-19, including the obligatory wearing of protective masks at work (indoors), as well as in the situation when the social distance cannot be observed.
Also, a mandatory measure for contract soldiers expected for studies abroad, service trips and international missions will be the presentation of the vaccination certificate against COVID-19 on departure and the performance of medical check-up on return.
According to the data of the Ministry of Defense, so far 72% of soldiers in term and by contract from the National Army have been immunized against COVID.
