Moldova, Czech Republic to boost bilateral relations

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu met Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jakub Kulhánek, on an official visit to our country, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The discussions focused on the evolution of interparliamentary relations, but also collaboration in the field of economy and trade. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration, Doina Gherman.
Grosu spoke about the priorities of the Parliament of the 11th legislature. Priority attention is paid to justice reform and the fight against corruption.
"Among our priorities is the reform of the activities of public institutions, so that they act in the interest of citizens," said Igor Grosu.
The speaker also reiterated that European integration is the main objective of the policies promoted by the authorities and that the Czech experience has been and will be extremely useful for the Legislature and the Executive in Chisinau.
"Thank you for supporting the European aspirations of our country and the generous and selfless help given in combating the Covid-19 pandemic," said Igor Grosu.
Jakub Kulhánek wished Grosu success in achieving the proposed goals and implementing the reforms.
The desire was expressed to strengthen collaboration, including in investment and trade. In this regard, officials agreed to revitalize interparliamentary relations, and at the level of committees.
