Three creative people from Moldova awarded international award

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/- Writer Ion Anton, translator Ivan Pilchin and painter Lică Sainciuc were awarded the Honorary Diploma of the International Council of Books for Children and Youth (IBBY) for 2020. The award ceremony took place at the IBBY International Congress held on September 10-12, in Moscow.
Writer Ion Anton obtained this distinction for the book "Merry guide for the locker room", intended for preschoolers and primary school students, the painter Lică Sainciuc - for illustrating the volume "Cold Mill" by Dan Coman, and Ivan Pilchin - for translating the book "Stories of a old mulberry tree "by Stella Nartea.
The event was attended by translator Ivan Pilchin, the president of the National Council of IBBY, the director of the National Library for Children "Ion Creanga", Eugenia Bejan and the honorary director of the same institution, Claudia Balaban.
In the different years, writers Grigore Vieru, Spiridon Vangheli, Vasile Romanciuc, Iulian Filip and others were awarded with the Honorary Diploma of the International Council of the Book for Children and Youth (IBBY).
