Moldovan government to hold donors' conference by late 2021

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jakub Kulhanek, on an official visit to Chisinau on 10 September, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Natalia Gavrilița thanked the Czech state for assistance to Moldova in combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The protection equipment made available in February, as well as the beds offered to the intensive care units in Călărași and Căușeni districts, contributed to ensuring quality medical services for the citizens of our country.
The premier also expressed gratitude for the recent decision of the Czech Republic on the recognition of Moldova's national vaccination certificates - an important measure for mobility between the two countries. Gavrilița also thanked for the scholarships offered to young Moldovans in Czech universities.
The Czech Republic is a very important bilateral partner of the Republic of Moldova, as well as one of the main lawyers of our country in the European Union.
"European integration is the strategic priority of the new Government. We are committed to making every effort to give a new impetus to our cooperation with the EU and to make significant progress in implementing the Association Agreement. We plan to focus on a series of reforms that are crucial for citizens, and for our relations with the EU. A priority for us in the dialogue with the EU is the finalization of the Association Agenda for the next 7 years ", Gavrilița said.
The officials expressed openness to boost collaboration in the priority areas of the Development Cooperation Program. In this context, Gavrilița said that the government will initiate a mapping of external financial assistance and will organize a donors' conference by the end of the year. This will create a more efficient donor coordination system, and the Executive will ensure that each external contribution is managed in a transparent manner in order to ensure sustainable development.
