Moldovan PM meets EBRD head

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița had a meeting with head of the office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Moldova Angela Sax, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The discussion focused on investment projects financed by the EBRD, which are underway in the public sector. These are road rehabilitation projects, which are in the fourth phase of implementation and the railway infrastructure rehabilitation project.
Also, the projects related to energy efficiency, rehabilitation of electricity transmission networks and interconnection of electricity networks between the Republic of Moldova and Romania were examined.
The provisions of the future solid waste management project that comes to contribute to the improvement of services in this field at national level were also analyzed. At the same time, it was agreed that the Government and EBRD teams review the project concepts and related feasibility studies in order to make the right decisions in the sense of concluding new projects and agreements.
Finally, the details of both parties' participation in the EBRD's Board of Directors were discussed - an event held online over two days, which replaces the traditional Council consultation visit towards the end of the EBRD's delivery strategy in the countries of operations.
