Moldovan speaker - new Parliament to speed up reform agenda

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu met Pascal Le Deunff, Ambassador of the French Republic to Chisinau, at the end of his mission in our country, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
Grosu thanked the diplomat for his support to our country over time and welcomed the involvement of the French state, including through investment projects that contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova. In this context, the recent decision of the French Development Agency to support projects in three priority areas for Moldova was mentioned: reforestation and irrigation, modernization of the water supply and sewerage system, electricity interconnections and energy efficiency of buildings.
"We highly appreciate the relations between our countries and we will support actions aimed at promoting economic and social development for the benefit of all citizens," said Igor Grosu.
The discussions also focused on the reform agenda in our country, which remains a priority for the Chisinau authorities. These include respect for the rule of law, justice reform, the fight against corruption and respect for human rights.
Igor Grosu reiterated that the new Parliament will accelerate the reform agenda it has proposed, so as to advance our economic relations and facilitate the activities of French companies that want to invest in the Republic of Moldova.
