Moldova to join EU frame-program on research, innovation

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/- Moldova has completed the last round of negotiations on the Draft Agreement on Participation in the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the last round of negotiations, which took place today, was attended by the delegation led by Minister Anatolie Topala and the negotiating team from the European Union, led by deputy head of the Directorate for Research and Innovation of the European Commission and EU Chief Negotiator for Horizon Europe, Signe Ratso.

The agreement aims to associate the Republic of Moldova with the Framework Program of the European Union for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe and the possibility to participate, as an associated country, in the competitions announced in the Program.

The Horizon Europe program is set to support research and innovation from the concept stage to the commercialization of results and to strengthen the scientific and technological bases to help solve the great global challenges of the time and enable the Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved.

The agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the EU on participation in the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe is to be signed this year.
