CNA officers raided Truseni mayoralty

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/- Truseni mayor, chief architect, former head of a municipal enterprise of the mayor's office and an economic agent are being investigated by the CNA and anti-corruption prosecutors in several corruption cases.

According to the CNA, they were investigated, after a case of bribery was documented for the issuance of permissive documents for the legalization of a building.

In fact, investigations by CNA officers and prosecutors have identified many cases of claiming financial means from economic agents and individuals in exchange for issuing town planning certificates for construction and other documents for the legalization of real estate or land. The amounts claimed by the group of officials varied between 500 and 1000 euros, and there were also investigated cases in which material goods (land) were also claimed in exchange for the issuance of permissive documents.

At the same time, during the investigations and criminal prosecution actions, the attempt to abusively take over some properties, which belonged to a 73-year-old resident of Truşeni commune, was also documented.

Criminal cases for passive, active corruption and influence peddling have been opened on behalf of the mayor, the chief architect, the former head of the municipal enterprise and an economic agent. If found guilty, they face up to 10 years in prison.
