Moldovan parliament, Romanian Investors Association to set constant partnership

Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- Parliament will have a closer dialogue and a constant partnership with the Romanian business environment present in our country. It is one of the conclusions of the meeting that Speaker Igor Grosu and head of the economy, budget and finance committee Dumitru Alaiba had today with representatives of the Romanian Investors Association (AIR) in Moldova, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The initiative aims to eliminate existing barriers in business development, harmonize the legislative and regulatory framework with investor expectations and, respectively, increase the volume of Romanian and foreign capital in our country's economy.

AIR representatives say that for investors in Romania and other EU countries are very important guarantees and actions of the Republic of Moldova on protecting investments, combating corruption and smuggling, unambiguous interpretation of legislation, favorable conditions for the development of renewable energy and infrastructure improvement.

Igor Grosu welcomed the active presence of the Romanian business environment in the Republic of Moldova, noting that the issues discussed today will be addressed in detail on the platform of the relevant parliamentary commission. "It is important for Moldova to enjoy investor confidence. In this sense, we need a transparent and predictable legal and institutional framework, which is why we are very determined in our efforts to fight corruption and reform the judiciary. Let's come up with good laws so that investors want to come to our country ", said Igor Grosu.

"We want to convince the Romanian business community that the Republic of Moldova is a destination for investments", mentioned Daniel-Vasile Nuțiu, the executive president of AIR, who emphasized that the association will show full openness for dialogue.

The AIR was meant to build a dialogue platform between the Romanian authorities and investors for the consolidation of the business environment.
