Moldovan president meets diaspora in New York

Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met on Tuesday with a group of Moldovan citizens, residing for several years in New York. Due to the pandemic situation, the discussion took place in a restricted format, the presidential press service has reported.
"The interlocutors shared with me their experience of life and activity in the USA, we also discussed their plans to reconnect with the Republic of Moldova. We also talked about the economic and investment opportunities that will appear in the country following the changes initiated by the new government in Chisinau ", said Maia Sandu.
The head of state thanked our fellow citizens in New York for their active involvement in promoting change in Chisinau. "We are counting on them further. With the participation of Moldovans settled in different regions of the globe, we can develop our country faster and more efficiently. I want to transform Moldova, so that all Moldovans settled abroad want to return home", the president said.
