Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- The Government approved in today's meeting the Regulation on Airspace Management and the application of the concept of flexible use of airspace.
According to the government's communication and protocol department, the approval of the document will regulate the responsibilities of the Civil Aviation Authority - responsible for implementing policies in civil aviation, the Ministry of Defense and air traffic service providers, currently being MOLDATSA company.
The regulation will contribute to streamlining cooperation between civilian and military entities responsible for air traffic management operating in the national airspace, by creating new interinstitutional commissions.
Thus, three inter-institutional units will be created, based on the organization of the national airspace management process in three levels. The Interdepartmental Commission for Airspace Management will be responsible for the strategic level; pre-tactical level - Airspace Management Cell; and tactical level - Task Force for Airspace Management.
The responsible institutions will establish specific collaboration agreements and procedures in order to increase the safety and capacity of the airspace, as well as to improve the efficiency and flexibility of aircraft operations.
