Young man from Floresti detained by CNA after allegedly extorting money for driving licenses

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/- A young man from Floresti was detained by the CNA after he asked for and received a bribe from two people, under the pretext that he can help them successfully pass the car qualification exams and complete their driving licenses.

According to CNA, the young man allegedly extorted and received 400 euros, claiming that he has influence over some employees of the Department of Transport Registration and Driver Qualification and that it can cause him to give maximum marks to the theoretical and practical tests, and later to issue the license. category "B" driving force.

In the second case, for the same services, the man asked for and received 300 euros.

The young man was detained inside the City Hall of Floresti, being placed in solitary confinement for 72 hours. In this case, a criminal investigation was initiated for trafficking in influence. If found guilty, the perpetrator risks up to 6 years in prison.
