Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - A diminished quota of taxation with value added tax (VAT) for the services of accommodation, food products or beverages, excepting the alcoholic production, will be imposed in Moldova as of 1 October 2021.
Thus, the VAT quota was decreased to 6 per cent for the HoReCa industry (Hotels, Restaurants, Coffee Houses) during the emergency state and the emergency state in the public health sector.
The legislative initiative belongs to an MP of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Dumitru Alaiba. According to the lawmaker, the speeding up of the launch of fiscal facilities for the HoReCa industry is important, as the companies bear considerable damages because of the restrictions imposed in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The law on cutting the VAT for some economic activities was worked out by MPs of the Shor Party’s faction and was to be enforced starting from 21 November 2021.
