Moldovan PM visits gymnasium from village of eastern Dubasari district

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today visited the gymnasium from the Ustia village, eastern Dubasari district, during a working visit to this district, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The institution benefits from financial support worth 640,000 lei, within the government’s programme of activities for Moldova’s reintegration. The financing is used for the capital repair of the education block’s roof, which has not been renovated for 32 years.
The gymnasium’s headmaster, Valentina Tomaș, informed the PM about the march of the repair works, due to be completed on 1 November 2021. The prime minister asked the constructions company to carry out the works at the highest level, so that the public money is used with maximal efficiency.
At the gymnasium, Natalia Gavrilita visited also the resource centre for inclusive education, from the services of which ten children with disabilities of Ustia benefit at present. All children are successfully integrated in the education process, due to the involvement of the support teaching staff and the activities organized by the centre.
At the discussion with the members of the institution’s teaching staff, the prime minister tackled the issue of financing education institutions. In the context, Natalia Gavrilita said the Education Ministry was analyzing eventual changes to the formula of financing per one pupil, so that it is adjusted to the present needs.
The institution’s administration also said that all employees of the gymnasium – both the teachers and the auxiliary staff – were vaccinated. According to the headmaster, if some classes are placed in quarantine, all pupils had ensured access to online education and the pupils from socially vulnerable families are given computers, earlier purchased with the support of international structures.
