As many as 1,215 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,819 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,215 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thirteen out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 286,536 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 23 out of all cases of infection are among medical employees (six physicians, nine medical assistants and eight representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,672 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 144 are in extremely serious condition and 20 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 6,812 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,862 are under supervision at home.

Another 955 people have been treated. As many as 270,640 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 17 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,649 people have died of coronavirus in all.
