Moldovan fruit producers, exporters participate in international exhibition in Moscow

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldova Fruct Association of Fruits Producers and Exporters participates in the  WorldFood Moscow International Exhibition for the tenth year in a row on 21-24 September. This is the most important event in the sector of agro-food products and fresh fruits from the area of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Mongolia and India.     

According to Moldova Fruct, this year, five companies represent the Association and the sector of fresh Moldovan fruits to potential buyers. The participation in the exhibition is organized by Moldova Fruct, with the support of the Investments Agency.   

„The participation of those five companies in the common stand titled, Moldova a special taste, is aimed at familiarizing professionals from the trade with fresh fruits with the latest achievements of native fruits producers and exporters,’’ the Moldova Fruct executive director, Iurie Fala, said.

Fala noted that, at the exhibition, Moldova Fruct representatives had discussed with a string of potential buyers from networks of shops from Russia, Belarus and India.  

Forecasts show that Moldova will harvest over 600,000 tons of apples in 2021.
