President of Germany to pay visit to Chisinau

Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/ - President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier will pay an official visit to Chisinau on 29-30 September, at an invitation by President Maia Sandu.

The presidential press service has reported that, on 29 September, Frank-Walter Steinmeier would be met with military honours at Moldova’s Presidency. Afterwards, a string of meetings with head of state Maia Sandu and the delegations’ members will take place. Subsequently, President Steinmeier will meet Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita. On the same day, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, along with President Maia Sandu, will inaugurate the Moldovan-German Business Forum.

At the visit, the federal president will also go to the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum and the Engineering College from Straseni. He will also have a discussion with a group of mayors from villages and towns where projects backed by the German Government were implemented. During the visit, the two presidents will plant a tree in the Chisinau-based Botanical German each.
