As many as 648 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,577samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 648 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eight out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 289,025 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), three out of all cases of infection are among medical employees (two medical assistants and one representative of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,895 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 149 are in extremely serious condition and 12 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,176 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,981 are under supervision at home.

Another 582 people have been treated. As many as 273,259 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,695 people have died of coronavirus in all.
