As many as 1,553 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,442 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,553 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Twenty three out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 294,392 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 30 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (7 physicians, 16 medical assistants and 7 representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 2,185 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 156 are in extremely serious condition and 20 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,264 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,818 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,314 people have been treated. As many as 277,659 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 24 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,777 people have died of coronavirus in all.
