Romanian authorities included Moldova on COVID-19 red list

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/- The National Committee for Emergency Situations in Romania has included the Republic of Moldova on the increased incidence list of COVID-19 diseases.
The above-mentioned Committee approved the decision to update the list of countries / territories with high epidemiological risk. Due to the high incidence of the number of diseases, Romanian specialists also included Romania in this list, thus entering the red zone: Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Armenia, Bulgaria, Belarus and Greenland.
According to the new regulations introduced by the Bucharest authorities, those vaccinated against COVID-19 should not be quarantined if they come from areas on the yellow or red list. Children up to 12 years old are exempted from quarantine and presenting an RT-PCR test upon entering Romania.
Also, the decision of the nominated committee is modified by including the exception from the quarantine measure for drivers of goods vehicles, as well as for those who provide passenger transport, if it presents the negative result of an RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 infection. performed no later than 72 hours before entering Romania, under the conditions of travel for professional purposes. The new regulations will enter into force on October 3, at 0.00.
