Regulation on airspace management published in Moldova's Official Journal

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/- The regulation on airspace management and application of the concept of flexible use of airspace, approved by the government was published in the Official Journal today.
By approving the document, the attributions of the Civil Aeronautical Authority - responsible for the implementation of policies in the field of civil aviation, the Ministry of Defense and the providers of air traffic services, currently being MOLDATSA.
The regulation will contribute to streamlining cooperation between civilian and military entities responsible for air traffic management operating in the national airspace, by creating new interinstitutional commissions.
Thus, "three inter-institutional units will be created, starting from the organization of the national airspace management process in three levels. The Interdepartmental Commission for Airspace Management will be responsible for the strategic level; the pre-tactical level - Airspace Management Cell; and of the tactical level - the Task Force for Airspace Management ”, the document reads.
The responsible institutions will establish specific collaboration agreements and procedures in order to increase the safety and capacity of the airspace, as well as to improve the efficiency and flexibility of aircraft operations.
