Ministerial team inspected development projects in northern Moldova

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/- State Secretary Ana Mardare and officials of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) paid a working visit yesterday in the north of the country, in Bălți municipality and in Glodeni district, and monitored two development projects. MIDR specialists also visited the Northern Regional Development Agency (ADR).
In Bălți, Ana Mardare monitored the execution of the construction works of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer in the Northern Development Region, created within a project financed from the National Fund for Regional Development (FNDR) and supported by the Competitiveness Project from Moldova.
Following the full implementation of the project, the two blocks to be completed will host the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer. The buildings are connected, within the same project, to electricity, water and sewerage networks, the Internet and other telecommunications networks. Also, a management structure of the Center will be created, established on the basis of an operating Regulation.
On the spot, the representatives of MIDR and ADR Nord discussed with the local authorities, other parties involved, about the completion works of the project, as well as about the technical conditions that would allow the testing of the new water supply system and its commissioning. Subsequently, the Secretary of State and the monitoring team went to the site of the water catchment station in the Prut River near Bisericani village, Cuhnești commune, where they documented the current situation regarding the execution of recent works.
The total cost of the project Construction of water supply systems in 10 localities from the Prut river meadow, Glodeni district. Stage I - Cuhnești commune and Balatina commune is 38.96 million lei. The construction-assembly works within this project started at the beginning of November 2020, and are currently on the last hundred meters.
