Mooldovan parliament made amendments to state budget law

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/- MPs adopted today in the first reading a draft law on amending and completion of the State Budget Law for 2021.
According to the draft, the state budget revenues will increase by about 3.7 billion lei (8.9%), and the expenditures - by 1.2 billion lei (2.2%), respectively, the budget deficit will decrease by 2 .5 billion lei (16.8%). Thus, the revised parameters of the state budget for the current year will be the following: revenues - in the amount of 45.1 billion lei, expenditures - in the amount of 57.2 billion lei, budget deficit - 12.1 billion lei.
The increase in revenues is mainly due to the increase in tax collection, in particular - the Value Added Tax. The largest increases in expenditures refer to the Program in the road sector - 604.6 million lei, the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development - 435 million lei, rehabilitation of local roads - 204.1 million lei, replenishment of funds Government emergency - 495.2 million lei, health care - 141.6 million lei, staff costs - 414.9 million lei.
As a result of the amendments, the national public budget is to be amended as follows: revenues - in the amount of 72.8 billion lei (+ 8.8%), expenditures - in the amount of 85.5 billion lei (+4 , 4%), the balance (budget deficit) - in the amount of 12.7 billion lei.
